An email I got from a friend last night that made me EL OH EL:
Snacks,
It’s 6:56 a.m. and I’ve been up for two hours now. I am in the habit of opening the gym twice a week as it fits more soundly with my school schedule. I also feel an odd kinship with Jihadists.
I was watching the sun rise over the bay this morning and. Let me stop right there because that’s a lie and I’m working on not becoming a liar. I didn’t watch the sunrise because there is no sun in northern San Francisco. There is a lackadaisical blanket of doom that at times appears to glow – as if to remind me that there are mexican/hipster children playing in the streams of open fire hydrants somwhere on Valencia Street. Clothed in only dangly scarves and sunshine, these todlers dance to an elegy of my former life.
My real reason for writing is not to make you jealous, although I can see how one might be a little suspicious at this point. Rather, I’m here to as a public servant to verify and relay your whereabouts to concerned friends and fanboys alike. Also, I’ve noticed that you no longer see fit to update even one of the myriad of rock climbing score-keeping websites. It’s fine, really, I’ve got plenty else to do here. Seriously. Totally not a big deal.
Please update. Please.
Shakes.
Shakes, it’s true that I’ve let my 8a updating duties slip as of late. I wanted to use my lack of 8a snippets as a motivator for more regular updates on my blog, realizing now this is not condusive to up-to-the-min… er, up-to-the-week updating of imformation-starved friends stuck behind climbing gym front desks and behind cubicle and office walls, but I promise an update is coming soon, to this here blog, M-kay?? Possibly, nay, probably tomorrow!!! I promise there might be an update tomorrow! Until then, please refer to Angie’s preliminary and very well written write-ups here and here. She’s got some amazing photos to ogle at as well. k, I’ve been looking at this computer screen for waaaaay too long today and my eye balls are burning and there’s something going on with my abdominal region… some strange sensation I haven’t felt in a while… I think it might be called hunger. TTYL!
Ahh, the good ‘ol bay area…
